  • H2O Design

    Landscape Design up to 150m2

    Winner

    H2O Designs

    Docklands Project

    Judges Comments:

On face value this garden presents a beautifully crafted water wall, table and chairs within a small internal courtyard. But it is so much more than this. The individual pieces were meticulously communicated by an elaborate series of detail drawings and 'photoshop' pictures. Innovation was on display with the use of a dichroic plate and water - all housed within the table top - gives a spectacular shimmering effect, particularly at night. Beyond this, the positioning of the table, chairs and water wall within this small courtyard space made for breath taking views from all doors and windows, without interrupting pedestrian flow through the space.

This project demonstrates this by combining local and recycled construction materials using sustainable construction techniques. Using and managing the water in a sustainable way by collecting, recycling and reusing the water back into the landscape. Plant selection and minimal impact on the environment all contribute to this project being the Sustainable Landscape for 2010.
