Judges' comments

This landscape is the complete package. Hard landscape elements complement the soft native bush garden, with plants used as a structural element in the landscape rather than an afterthought. They have achieved a landscape that is natural and yet stylized so that it complements the modern house it surrounds. The workmanship is to an exceptional standard, all hard surfaces are appropriately selected and materials are all of excellent quality. Large sculptural rocks cleverly deal with the complex issues of the steep narrow property, softening the severity of the slope and enhancing the natural feel of the landscape. It is a pleasure to see such a well-crafted and designed job.
