Why you should choose a Landscaping Victoria member

To become a member, landscape professionals must demonstrate that they know what they are doing, have the skills to undertake the work required of them and carry all necessary insurances. Our assessors look at their work by visiting completed projects plus we conduct an interview to determine that they run a viable and ethical business. We also offer mediation during times of dispute and can offer courses of action for both clients and members to bring about a resolution.

When selecting a landscape professional we advise:

* ask for a detailed written quotation of the work and the costs

* ask for references from previous clients

* ensure that they have the necessary skills, knowledge and insurances including public liability to enable them to perform the work you require

* And when quotations vary markedly, don't be afraid to ask why.

* if your project involves structural work such as paving, decking or retaining walls and it is over $5,000 then they should be a registered structural landscaper - ask them for their license number. If the project is more than $12,000 only registered structural landscapers can provide warranty insurance for the project.

We encourage all of our members to not only bring their landscaping skills to the table but also their knowledge and they will be able to offer to you  a full solution that will assist you to achieve your dream garden.
